The Highway Authority only issues licences where the skip, scaffolding or any materials are actually going to be placed on or over the public highway. Any of these that are off the public highway on private land are no concern of this Authority.
This Authority will only consider applications for skip and scaffold licences from reputable companies. You will need to demonstrate that you have in place the necessary public liability insurance.
Please fill in the details below if you wish this Authority to send you an application for a skip, scaffolding or hording to be placed on or over the public highway. You will be required to complete the application and return it along with a copy of your public liability insurance and the correct payment. The application will not be processed without these items.
It is an offence to place any skip, scaffolding or hording on or above the public highway with out a licence, or to fail to comply with the conditions under which the licence is issued. A list of conditions can be found on the back of the licence and any specific conditions relating to the individual site will be recorded on the licence when issued.
Please Note: No members of the public may apply for this licence.
