The council’s Arts Service funds and works in partnership with the following arts organisations:


The Pound, Corsham is home to a range of professional and community arts activities including performances, films, workshops and exhibitions. The Pound Arts Trust also runs Corsham Festival and manages Rural Arts Wiltshire, the county’s rural touring scheme. The Pound is an Arts Council National Portfolio Organisation.
Salisbury International Arts Festival presents an array of fantastic music, theatre, dance, film, visual arts, circus, opera and literature events at unique locations in and around Salisbury. The Festival is fun for every age and showcases an excellent family programme whilst running extensive participatory events for the duration of the Festival and beyond. Alongside mesmerising outdoor spectacles, the Festival is renowned for its memorable opening and closing events which are not to be missed. The Festival also runs Salisbury Food and Drink Festival and a year round film programme. The 2012 Salisbury International Arts Festival starts on Friday 25 May. Salisbury International Arts Festival is an Arts Council National Portfolio Organisation.
Salisbury Playhouse is the only producing theatre in Wiltshire with a 517 seat Main House and 149 seat Salberg Studio. It also has a participation programme, both within the building and beyond, through a variety of accessible projects and educational workshops. Salisbury Playhouse is an Arts Council National Portfolio Organisation.
Salisbury Arts Centre presents a wide range of professional theatre, music, dance, film, workshops and visual arts. It has a flexible main space, seating 164 as a studio theatre, up to 270 seated for music and comedy and up to 380 for standing gigs. It has a cafe, exhibition area and other smaller, flexible spaces. Salisbury Arts Centre is an Arts Council National Portfolio Organisation.
Wiltshire Music Centre, Bradford on Avon has nine flexible workshop spaces and a 300 seat concert hall. It runs a professional concert series featuring classical, jazz, folk and world music and an exemplary programme of projects in the region’s schools and communities. Wiltshire Music Centre is an Arts Council National Portfolio Organisation.

ArtCare is the arts in health service for Salisbury NHS Foundation Trust. It delivers a quality arts programme, which is accepted as a vital element to the healing process.
Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra performs orchestral concerts at Salisbury City Hall and firework spectaculars at Wilton House each summer, and undertakes community projects in the county. The current focus is a community project in the Chippenham area
Cloth Road Arts Week is a nine day open studios and galleries event which takes place every other year in early May predominantly in Trowbridge, Bradford on Avon, Melksham and their neighbouring villages. The next Cloth Road Arts Week will be 5 -13 May 2012.
Corsham Festival is a leading small contemporary arts festival. 2012 dates: to be confirmed. For more info visit www.poundarts.org.uk
Devizes Carnival and Street Festival takes place at the end of August and beginning of September. It has a vibrant mix of traditional and contemporary carnival styles and includes internationally renowned street theatre performers.
Marlborough Open Studios enables artists in the Marlborough area to make their work accessible to as many people as possible by opening up their studios over the weekends of July.
La Folia is a production company - both a formal orchestra and a group of limitless possibility. Under the artistic direction of Howard Moody, musicians, dancers, actors and other artists produce concerts, projects and creative workshops in UK and Europe.
Wylye Valley Art Trail is a nine day open studios and galleries event which takes place every other year in late May and early June in Warminster, Westbury, Tisbury, Mere and villages of the Wylye Valley, South Wiltshire.

The Arts Service also has a small arts project grant scheme
