The Wiltshire Compact
The Compact is a set of principles within which the statutory sector and the voluntary sector agree to work.
The aim of the Compact is to help organisations work together more effectively for the benefit of the community.
Codes of Practice will be developed which cover; funding and procurement; equality and diversity, volunteering and communication and consultation.
Within each of these codes will be detailed guidance for organisations on how to work with each other to increase their effectiveness. For example, in the Funding code there will be guidance on publicising funding criteria for local authorities and for the voluntary sector, there will be guidance on how to apply for funding.
