Community Safety, Anti-Social Behaviour and Drugs Team
The Community Safety, Anti Social Behaviour and Drugs Team support the work of the Safer Wiltshire Executive Partnership and works with groups in commissioning drug and alcohol services; leading partnership responses to crime reduction and community safety; and ensuring the County Councils’ responses to Community Safety are maximised.
Team members work closely with community safety partnerships and statutory and non-statutory drug treatment service providers, in responding and achieving regionally set performance targets and local strategies for keeping communities safe, reducing substance misuse and anti social behaviour and ensuring the national Drugs Strategy is implemented at local level.

- Developing user involvement in substance misuse services
- Safer Schools website
- Anti-Social Behaviour research
- Iontrak drug detection machine
- Problem solving training in local communities
- Parenting programme
- Commissioning drug treatment services
Details of Team
A small core team of 7 staff are based in Trowbridge and are co-located with staff in the Youth Offending Service.(YOS) In addition to this one member of staff in a joint role with YOS. Other staff supporting the team are based within County Council specialist teams within finance, contracting, performance and research.
