We are happy to answer questions on the local history of Wiltshire but are unable to undertake family history research. If you do have a family history enquiry you can view a list of family history record agents who can be employed to carry out this work. You might also find it helpful to contact the Wiltshire Family History Society - e-mail society@wiltshirefhs.co.uk.
When sending an enquiry please ask a specific question, such as 'I wish to find out about Manor Farm at Kington St. Michael', and not a general one, such as 'I want to know all about the history of Kington St. Michael', when you are only interested in a small part of that history.
We will try to answer your enquiry within 5 to 10 working days but local history research is not always straightforward and it may be longer than this before you receive an answer to you question. Your question and our answer will be placed on our FAQ site but your name will not be included. Our response to you will be by e-mail.
