Make a Stand for Cycling!
Working with the Calne Community Area Partnership, the Area Board has been running a participatory budgeting project.
Local people told us that they want to be able to cycle around the Community Area and that they need to be able to park their bikes in convenient places.
The Community Partnership/Area Board idendified a list of 14 potential places where they could be sited and then the community voted for their top priorities.
New stands will be implemented at the top 5 sites to enable and promote cycling in and around the Community Area.
Make a Stand for Cycling - the top 5 sites:
- Heddington Primary School - 477 points
- Beaversbrook Sports Ground - 304 points
- John Bentley School - 256 points
- Calne Leisure Centre - 248 points
- Calne Town Hall/Library/Bank House - 160 points
157 people returned forms at Bank House, Community Hub or by mail.
