New and improved community campus in Melksham Town Centre - on track for delivery
Wiltshire Council is delighted to confirm that, subject to a site assessment and to contract, it will purchase the Melksham House and Blue Pool site in the town centre, currently owned by Cooper Tire.
The site will provide an excellent opportunity for the council to deliver a community campus within Melksham town centre.
On 3 October 2011 Wiltshire Council purchased Melksham House and its grounds subject to a due diligence process. The following document contains frequently asked questions and answers in respect of the development of a campus proposal on the Melksham House site.

Shadow Community Operations Board
The Melksham Shadow Community Operations Board was established by the Area Board in May 2011. The Board will influence, recommend and consider the detail of the Melksham campus proposal both in terms of design and how it will operate on a day to day basis. The Melksham Shadow Community Operations Board consists of area board and town/parish council representatives and members of the public to ensure it can act on behalf of the local community.
Members of the Melksham Shadow Community Operations Board have developed their own website and blog where you can learn about the latest activities of the board and provide feedback on the campus proposals being developed.
