A vital service in the fight against crime and disorder
Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) cameras are installed in many public places throughout Salisbury City centre, the centres of Amesbury and Wilton. Our CCTV Team, based in Salisbury, works continuously 24 hours a day, all year round.
They are there to help protect the people who live, work or visit the areas, to help protect their property, including vehicles in car parks, and to assist the Council to manage those areas by efficient delivery of services
There are other CCTV systems in the Wiltshire Council area, principally Calne, Chipenham, Devizes, Trowbridge, Warminster and Wootton Bassett town centres. All of these systems are owned and operated by their respective Town Council’s.
