The Department of Community Services and the Energy, Change and Opportunity (ECO) team has joined forces with all libraries in Wiltshire to find a way to help householders conserve energy and save money.
All Wiltshire libraries, including mobile libraries are lending free energy monitors to householders to help them keep an eye on their electricity use.
The energy monitors are available to borrow from libraries for up to three weeks from Monday April 4. Simply call, email or visit your local library today to see how you can take advantage of the scheme.
The device is easy to use and shows how much energy is being used in people's homes. They instantly show the cost of switching on a light, turning on the TV or boiling a kettle.
Each
monitor will be loaned with
Energy monitor information booklet a booklet containing instructions 3mb, energy saving advice
and information about grants, funding and useful contacts. Energy experts from the council will also
be providing information at a number of advice events at libraries throughout late summer.
There are 200 monitors available to loan through the scheme. For more information call 01225 713727.
