Final Accounts & Audit Committee
Purpose
The Final Accounts & Audit Committee was established in July 2005 to approve the County Council's Statement of Accounts on an annual basis. This is required by the Accounts and Audit regulations.
The main responsibilities of the Committee are:
- Promoting internal control.
- Focusing audit resources.
- Monitoring and Performance of the Audit function.
This Committee follows the rules and procedures detailed within the County Council's Constitution.
Membership
The Chairman of the Final Accounts and Audit Committee is Mrs Jane Scott.
The Vice Chairman of the Final Accounts Committee is Mr Julian Johnson.
The Committee comprises 13 members (membership).
