The Wiltshire Councillors who represent the Melksham area are:
- Cllr Jonathon Seed (Chairman) - Summerham & Seend
- Cllr Rod Eaton (Vice Chairman) - Melksham North
- Cllr Mark Griffiths - Melksham Without North
- Cllr Jon Hubbard - Melksham South
- Cllr Stephen Petty - Melksham Central
- Cllr Roy While - Melksham Without South (Bowerhill)
These councillors sit on the Melksham Area Board. If you have an issue that you would like to raise with the board, we suggest you contact your local councillor first to discuss.

- Melksham Community Area Partnership is made up of local people who come together to share ideas to make Melksham and its surrounding villages a better place to live. They hold consultation events and surveys to produce the Melksham Community Plan, a living document which highlights what actions need to happen locally to improve the area
