The last Area Board meeting was held in Wilton Community Centre on 7 December 2011. Matters discussed included the Tisbury Campus, the upcoming Olympic Torch route in 2012 and the various small highways projects considered by the Community Area Transport Group. Five community area grants were also awarded at the meeting.
The Area Board currently has £12,000 available for youth projects in South West Wiltshire; there will be more information available at our next area board meeting in Nadder Hall, Tisbury on Wednesday 29 February 2012 at 6pm - anybody is welcome to attend. However, applications need to be in by 9 March 2012, so contact Stephen Harris, Community Area Manager, on 01722 434211 or email stephen.harris@wiltshire.gov.uk for more information.
The next area board meeting will follow on from the youth project workshop in Nadder Hall, Tisbury on Wednesday 29 February 2012, beginning at the usual time of 7pm. There will be a display with information on changes to the waste and recycling service before the meeting, so please take the opportunity to come and ask any questions that you may have. Refreshments will also be available.

The Area Board covers the Community Areas of:
Mere, which includes the parishes of East Knoyle, Kilmington, Mere, Sedgehill & Semley, Stourton with Gasper, West Knoyle and Zeals
Tisbury, which includes the parishes of Ansty, Berwick St John, Berwick St Leonard, Chicklade, Chilmark, Donhead St Andrew, Donhead St Mary, Fonthill Bishop, Fonthill Gifford, Fovant, Hindon, Sutton Mandeville, Swallowcliffe, Tisbury, Tollard Royal and West Tisbury
Wilton, which includes the parishes of Alvediston, Barford St Martin, Bishopstone, Bowerchalke, Broad Chalke, Burcombe Without, Compton Chamberlayne, Dinton, Ebbesbourne Wake, Netherhampton, Quidhampton, South Newton, Stratford Tony, Teffont and the town of Wilton.
