We are asking staff from a range of organisations to tell us about the work that they do with young carers. If you work in a front-line service, then you can help by participating in this survey. It should take approximately ten minutes to complete. All responses will be on an anonymous basis.

The council is consulting on the Draft Wiltshire Core Startegy Pre-submission document and associated Sustainability Appraisal and Habitats Regulations Assessment.

The Draft Wiltshire Core Strategy Document builds on comments received from previous consultation exercises and set out draft policies to ensure the sustainable delivery of new development within Wiltshire. These aim to maximise the benefits of development for local communities whilst at the same time conserving and enhancing Wiltshire's high quality environment.

The council is consulting on a proposed submission draft of the Aggregate Minerals Site Allocations DPD.

This final round of formal consultation provides the opportunity to comment on the soundness of the plan before it is submitted, subject to Council approval, to the Secretary of State in the Summer of 2012 for independent examination and scrutiny.

We are giving parents in Wiltshire the chance to have their say on how school admissions in the county will operate in the future.

The proposed schemes for the co-ordination of admissions to primary, infant, junior and secondary schools in Wiltshire are available on request from the school admissions team at County Hall, Trowbridge on 01225 713010 or admissions@wiltshire.gov.uk.

The Wiltshire Carers Strategy 2011– 2014 has been designed with carers at its centre and is about making sure that action takes place. It outlines the commitments of various organisations in Wiltshire to develop and deliver good quality services to carers. These organisations include Wiltshire Council, NHS Wiltshire, and providers of services to carers, including those in the voluntary and community sector.

We would like to hear your views on this strategy.

A new Children and Young People's Plan 2012-2015 has been drafted and is now out for consultation. This is an important consultation as the Plan will inform priorities for children’s services and the focus of partnership working. The Plan is produced by the Wiltshire Children & Young People’s Trust (a multi-agency partnership which includes broad representation from children’s services across Wiltshire).

The Calne Area Board has set up the Calne Campus Working Group made up of local residents who put their names forward and were selected through the Area Board. The group would like to consult with local people on the proposal for a campus serving Calne and the surrounding parishes. This survey for the initial phase of consultation around a campus proposal for the Cricklade area was extended and  closed on 16 September 2011.

The Cricklade Shadow Community Operations Board (Shadow COB) are consulting with local residents on the proposal for a campus in the Cricklade area. This questionnaire is your opportunity to be part of an exciting new venture – please take time to join in and feedback your views on what the local people of the Cricklade area want and need in a campus. Wiltshire residents are being asked to comment on two plans out for public consultation this summer. The first outlines the number of jobs and homes needed in Wiltshire over the next 15 years and the second sets out proposals for the location of new waste management facilities across Wiltshire and Swindon.

The draft 13 to 19 Commissioning Strategy is now out for consultation. The draft includes some suggestions for the future delivery of youth work service in Wiltshire.

The consultation period ends on 5th August 2011. Responses should be sent to pathways@wiltshire.gov.uk

Consultation will take place in a variety of ways including:

• with young people
• a stakeholder workshop for representatives from agencies and services who work with children and young people
• ensuring the draft Emotional Wellbeing and Mental Health Commissioning Strategy is an agenda item at relevant regular meetings (including the Primary Heads Forum and Wiltshire Association of Secondary and Special School Heads)
• discussion with GPs
• written responses to key consultation questions summarised in Appendix 1 of the draft document.

The Child Poverty Act requires each local authority to produce a child poverty strategy which takes account of a local needs assessment. In order to assist groups and individuals to comment on the strategy, a set of key consultation questions have been developed.

School term and holiday dates 2012/ 13 consultation

We would like to receive your views on the term dates calendar being proposed for Wiltshire’s Community and Voluntary Controlled Schools for 2012/13. The deadline for responses is Friday 11 February 2011.

The results of this consultation will be collated and presented to the Joint Consultative Committee prior to the final recommended model being determined by the Cabinet Member for Children’s Services. All comments received will be taken into consideration during the final decision making process.
