contactpoint
'contactpoint' is the new face to face service for the public in the Salisbury area. It is a joint helpdesk between Wiltshire County Council and Salisbury District Council and its aim is to simply make it easier for people to get access to the service they need.
Staff will provide help with any local government enquiry for example:
- Local schools or care homes
- Reporting road defects or traffic lights that are not working
- Validate applications for concessionary bus fares in the Salisbury District Council area
- Issue the Salisbury District Council ‘Wisecard’
'contactpoint' staff will take responsibility for the enquiry and by using information provided by the customer will be able to contact the right person in the right department. Wherever possible the staff will try to resolve the enquiry themselves but appointments with specialist staff in the 'contactpoint' interview area, or a free phone call can be arranged to resolve an issue.
