Multi agency planning
It is essential that the Emergency Planning Unit fully understands the responsibilities, abilities and limitations of all agencies that respond to an incident. All plans produced by the unit are done so in close liaison with the partner agencies and their inputs invited. This ensures a seamless plan that meets the requirements of the responding agencies and takes account of their operational procedures.
The Emergency Planning Unit is a member of the Local Resilience Forum (LRF) the strategic, multi agency body that oversees all emergency planning related issues within the county. The Forum is chaired by the ACC of Wiltshire Constabulary and consists of senior managers from emergency planning and response organisations

The LRF meets quarterly, but can be assembled quickly to lead the overall response to any major incident.
