Age No Barrier week was 1 - 7 October 2011 but events are continuing throughout October 2011

Wiltshire & Swindon Users Network and Age UK Wiltshire, in association with Wiltshire Council Communities and Voluntary Sector Support team, once again promoted an ‘Age No Barrier’ week across Wiltshire. This year the designated week coincided with National UK Older People's Day (1 October).
The theme of UK Older People's Day was ‘Full of Life'. There is a Full of Life toolkit provided by the Department of Work and Pensions with suggestions for activities.
The objectives of ‘Age No Barrier’ events
- ·to raise the profile of older people across the county
- ·to celebrate the contribution older people make to their communities
- ·to bridge the gap between older and younger people and
- ·to recognise that age is no barrier for people to come together to make a positive contribution to their community.
