Disability Equality events aim
- to raise the profile of disability equality throughout Wiltshire.
- to promote the inclusion of disabled people in all aspects of life in Wiltshire.

Promoting disability equality - no barriers week 3 December - 10 December 2011
We would like Wiltshire to be known as a county where disabled people feel valued and fully included in all aspects of community and working life
Many organisations are working together to achieve this. During no barriers week 2011 there will be events and activities happening all over Wiltshire to promote disability equality.
The no barriers 2011 events will give us the opportunity to
demonstrate the valuable contribution disabled people make in our county. Each year the project goes
from strength to strength, celebrating achievements and helping to remove any barriers that are faced
by disabled people.

This year events are being advertised on the Wilts and Swindon User’s Network website, www.wsun.co.uk.

This year the United Nations (UN) theme for 3 December 2011 is “Together for a better world for all: including persons with disabilities in development”. You can find out more about the UN international day by looking on their website, www.un.org .
