Standard File procedures, Wiltshire Youth Offending Service

2. What are the aims of the policy or service? Whose needs is it designed to meet? What are the current priorities?

Files need to be standardised across the Youth Offending Service to ensure information is easily available to all staff working with clients. Any member of staff should be able to visit any file and find information in the same place.

This policy will also help new members of staff joining the team to organise their files in line with procedures and give some guidance to staff.

3. In what ways might this policy or service affect some groups of people differently? Might some groups find it harder to access the service? Do some groups have particular needs that are not well met by the current policy or service?
