This policy covers occasions when office based staff request to work from home for a particular short term period.
3. In what ways might this policy or service affect some groups of people differently? Might some groups find it harder to access the service? Do some groups have particular needs that are not well met by the current policy or service?
It could adversely affect staff who do not have suitable home working space/conditions.
4. What evidence do you have for your judgement? Is there evidence of public concern (e.g. complaints)? Have staff raised concerns? Is there local or national research to suggest that there could be a problem?
No concerns have been raised by staff. The opportunity for flexible working it brings has been generally well received.

The YOS cannot be responsible staff’s home arrangements

Developments in IT e.g. wireless connections will assist to minimise adverse effects.

Continue to explore technological opportunities to assist staff to work flexibly.
