If you have a disability that is 'substantial and permanent', you can register as a disabled person with Wiltshire County Council. We keep a register of disabled people living in the area to help plan services.

What are the benefits of being registered disabled?
Concessions for people who are registered may include:
- May be eligible for Blue Badge
- Reduced admission charges for leisure centres, cinemas, concerts, etc.
- Reduced fishing license cost.
- Some public transport and ferry companies offer discount at there discretion
- You may qualify from extra points with housing societies
- VAT Exemption for equipment to support your disability.
Who can be Registered?
Wiltshire County Council has a register of disabled people and a register of people who are blind and partially sighted. A medical examination and report is required for the blind and partially sighted register.
