The programme board have been working with senior managers across the five organisations in developing a document called Wiltshire Council - What will we be like? Its primary aim is to oultine the key attributes of the new council in terms of its vision, culture and values. It also states the 'Givens' i.e. the explicit objectives that were made in the bid. The document also considers what will be different, what will be in place by 2009 and what will be worked on after April 2009. As you can see it's a document that is 'under construction' and requires further work to finalise and we would like all of you to have an opportunity to contribute. Therefore we would be grateful if you could take some time to consider the following questions:
To help you consider your responses we have attached some thoughts of senior managers. However please do not feel limited to just responding to these questions, you may wish to comment on other aspects of the document (including language and structure) - if that's the case then please do so.
We aim to take a further version to the Implementation Executive on the 22nd May (taking account of the feedback we receive from you). Ultimately we aim to produce a concise, understandable document that offers staff, members, customers and other stakeholders a clear picture of what Wiltshire Council will be like.
We fully appreciate that you are very busy and have very little opportunity to spend time looking at the website, however we would be very grateful if you could spend 15 - 30 minutes looking at the document and offer an opinion - even if its just a couple of bullet points.
Please feedback comments by emailing onecouncil@wiltshire.gov.uk putting 'Wiltshire Council - What will we be like' in the subject box. The deadline for comments is Friday 16th May 2008.
