Leading the way

Wiltshire Council is leading the way in the region with an innovative private finance initiative (PFI) scheme to provide around 350 new homes for affordable rent in the west of the county. Working with a consortium led by Devizes-based Sarsen Housing Association, this will enable many of the households who are currently unable to access suitable accommodation to have a decent place to live.

The project is supported by £83 million of additional funding from the Government's Homes and Communities Agency. Providing more affordable housing is major issue for local people and a high priority for Wiltshire Assembly. This is reflected in the Local Area Agreement targets for delivering new affordable homes and the housing PFI scheme features in Wiltshire Council's first year plan.

The Data Room is a password controlled library of technical information for authorised project team members and advisers acting for Sarsen and the council. This contains contract documents, drawings, specifications and surveys.
