People, Places and Promises: The Wiltshire Community Plan 2011-2026 is the sustainable community strategy for Wiltshire. It sets out the council's and our partners' joint vision for the future of Wiltshire for the improvement of quality of life for all residents. It also provides a broad outline of how we could make this vision a reality.

Our vision and priorities

The Community Plan describes our vision to build strong and resilient communities in Wiltshire and the three main priorities for the partnerships to work to.

• Creating an economy that is fit for the future
• Reducing disadvantage and inequality
• Tackling the causes and effects of climate change

The plan also describes challenges that will impact on our ability to achieve our vision and our strengths as organisation and as a county that will support us to overcome these challenges. Finally, the plan summarises example approaches that the partnerships can take to support delivery of the vision within their own agendas.
