Brief description of partnership
The Environmental Alliance is a newly formed partnership. It includes members from
- The Wiltshire Renewable Energy Forum or its successor body
- The Wiltshire Biodiversity Forum
- The Wiltshire Waste Partnership or its successor body
- The Wiltshire Worldchangers Network
Its primary purpose will be, in the short term, to ensure the actions within the Local Agreement for Wiltshire (LAW) are achieved. Longer term it hopes to carry forward other environmental and climate change adaptation issues across the county.

Priority actions within LAW
- Increase uptake of energy efficiency and renewable energy measures
- Reduce carbon emissions from public sector buildings
- Increase use of sustainable energy measures in new developments
- Reduce carbon emissions from transport
- Improve the reduction, re-use and recycling of household waste
- Increase awareness of climate change adaptation
- Conserve and enhance Wiltshire biodiversity, ensure high quality biodiversity information is available to decision makers
- Ensure new developments are designed for greater community cohesion to promote physical and mental health, reduce crime and enhance wildlife
