A brief description of the partnership
The Wiltshire Strategic Economic Partnership (WSEP) is an established partnership. It includes members from the private, voluntary and public sectors and is chaired by a recently retired Wiltshire businessman.
WSEP’s aim is to promote the sustainable economic development of Wiltshire and one of its key activities is to monitor the delivery of the economic aspects of the Local Agreement for Wiltshire (LAW) to ensure that all the actions are achieved.

Priority actions for WSEP and its partners within the LAW
- Improve business productivity through innovation
- Work with the military to assess the impact of the military changes on Wiltshire
- Tackle worklessness by raising skills and working with hard to reach groups
- Broaden the employment base for the county
- Work with the private sector to develop work spaces
- Improve journey time reliability on strategic routes
- Research how key settlements evolve to become thriving and vibrant economic centres
