  • Large garden with benches. Alterations are in the process of being carried out to the paths to make them smoother and to the steps to make them less steep.
Parking
  • Private car park for residents and visitors, though of limited space.
Location
  • Reasonably quiet residential area, though surrounded by Salisbury City ringroad. There is a steep walk to the road making it less suitable to people with mobility problems.
Recreational activities
  • Day Centre - within city centre, throughout the week
  • There are numerous leisure activities in the city including the theatre, a cinema which holds a senior session every Wednesday morning. Details of clubs, day centres and associations can be obtained from the library.
Closest amenities
  • Shops - convenience store in Estcourt road, which will deliver, otherwise a 4 minute walk. Main shops in city centre, a 10 minute walk.
  • Bus Stop - right outside scheme. Taxi's are also cheap, just for a quick trip into town
  • The Community Bus, which has disabled access, picks up tenants fortnightly to take them to Tesco on the Southampton Road, if pre-arranged
  • Churches - St. Marks is a 2 minute walk, otherwise in central Salisbury
  • Doctor and Dentist - Salisbury city centre
  • Pubs - Estcourt road, 4 minutes walk. Residents use the British Legion in Salisbury city centre.
  • Leisure Facilities - City centre
  • Train Station - Periphery of city centre - 30-45 minutes walk or 5-10 minutes bus journey.

  • 'The scheme is very pretty, quiet and close to all amenities'.
