Wiltshire People First

Wiltshire People First is a self advocacy group (speaking up for yourself) for people with learning difficulties. .
We have an office in Semington just outside Trowbridge, the county town of Wiltshire.
In December 2007 we celebrated our tenth birthday!

SWAN provides Independant Advocacy and Independent Mental Capacity Advocacy across South, North and West Wiltshire and Kennet.
Independent Advocacy helps you Speak Up, Speak Out and say what is important to you.
SWAN focuses on adults who because of illness, disability or age may have difficulty speaking up or speaking out about issues that are directly affecting their life and choices.

Salisbury Indpendent Self Advocacy Group supports and promotes self advocacy for any adult of 18+ with a learning difficulty in the Salisbury area.

We are a friendly group and can help support you in 'speaking up' about the important things in your life. We are run and controlled by people with learning difficullties and are totally independent from any Organisation.
Our monthly meetings are fun and confidential and you can talk about the services you use and the services you want.
We chat about your important news on housing, jobs, money and new services.
We support each other in taking more control of our lives and in telling local and national Government what improvements might still need to be made.
We also meet up with other 'speaking up' groups in Wiltshire and the South West at Conferences, Workshops and events.
It's free to join and we arrange transport so that you can come to our monthly meeting in central Salisbury. If you go to a Centre or use services in the Salisbury area you are very welcome to come and join us.
