The Education Maintenance Allowance (EMA) is a national scheme of funding for students over the compulsory school leaving age at school based sixth forms and at colleges. Weekly payments and termly bonuses are available to students from households where the gross annual income is less than £30,000. There are also bonuses of £100 if you remain on your course and make good progress with your learning.
EMA application packs are available from schools and colleges. Alternatively, visit the EMA website for further information and to request an application form online. You can also contact the EMA helpline on their free helpline number 080 810 16219.
Please note: The EMA scheme is not administered by Wiltshire County Council’s Student Support Team.
