Schools - libraries - advice and training
Summary of Service
This service is provided to schools on a chargeable basis.
We provide a loan service to subscribing schools of resources - books, artifacts, videos, DVD's and CDs - for use in the classroom to support teaching and learning. We also provide advisory services which include guidance on the organisation, management and use of school libraries, information about the availability of resources, and help with making your own recordings.
Needs
Teachers at subscribing schools may use the service. Details of the range of resources available and information about how to submit a request can be seen on our Wiltshire & Swindon Learning Resources website.
Payment
The service is available to schools on a chargeable basis. Schools may subscribe to the full loan service or to parts of it. The cost of advisory services is calculated at an hourly rate. For details, contact us at the address below.
Eligibility
Primary and special schools, both maintained and independent, in Wiltshire, Swindon and the surrounding areas may subscribe to the loan service. Advisory services are available to all schools.
