Wiltshire County and Swindon Borough Council (“the Councils”) published 'Issues and Options' Reports for consultation in late 2005 and this was followed by a further round of consultation on 'Preferred Options' in the summer of 2006. This set out draft policy direction to govern minerals and waste development over the next 20 years. A ‘Revised Preferred Options’ round of consultation was carried out in the spring of 2007 to address a range of comments and fundamental issues of ‘soundness’ that arose at the ‘Preferred Options’ stage

The documents were then published for one final round of public consultation running from Monday 31 March to 5.00pm Wednesday 14 May 2008.
