Minerals and Waste Policy - evidence base
An essential contributing factor to the development of minerals and waste planning policy for Wiltshire and Swindon is the evidence upon which it must be based. This evidence will ensure that policy documents are realistic in their outlook and introduce the foundations for future monitoring and review.
As a core element of the evidence base, the purpose of the Draft Evidence Base Report is to provide a clear, robust and up to date collation of relevant information available to date. The evidence base will be subject to continual review and updated regularly. Therefore the report provided below represents a snapshot in time for the current round of consultation on minerals and waste planning policy.
The evidence included in this report will be used by the Local Planning Authorities of Wiltshire and Swindon to demonstrate that a minerals or waste LDD submitted to the Secretary of State for independent examination is 'sound'.
