About planning applications at Wiltshire County Council
The County Council is the Minerals and Waste Planning Authority for Wiltshire and deals with planning applications for County Matters and County Council developments only.
County Matters include developments relating to mineral working and waste management. County Council developments include schools, libraries, community care facilities, roads and other services operated by the County Council.
Please note that Wiltshire County Council is not the Planning Authority for other types of planning applications such as housing, industrial, commercial or leisure developments. For information on such applications, please contact the appropriate District or Borough Council direct.

This website enables you to view the weekly list of planning applications received, view planning application documents, comment on an application, monitor application progress, view the weekly list of decision notices issued, and, where applicable, view the decision notice for an application. Details of any current appeals and previous appeal decisions are also available to view.

Making your planning application
To make an application for planning permission to carry out Minerals or Waste or County Council development, you must complete the appropriate form. Forms can be downloaded from our Planning Application Forms and Notes page. Alternatively they can be obtained by contacting the Planning Control Team (details below).
