The Councils' are publishing the 'Issues and Options' for consultation. This is an ongoing phase of evidence gathering to inform our understanding of local issues and the development of options for the Aggregate Minerals Site Allocations DPD.
The County and Borough Councils have jointly published the following Issues Papers for consultation:
A draft of each of the Topic Papers was circulated to members of the Minerals Stakeholder Forum and debated through workshop sessions at a Minerals Stakeholder Forum Event held on 20th July 2007. The workshop sessions were designed to utilise local knowledge and stakeholder expertise to begin the process of ensuring that the Topic Papers appropriately reflect the issues and circumstances for each area, and the process of identifying potential options for site allocations and restoration schemes / afteruses.
Consultation on these documents will run for an 8 week period commencing Monday 13th August 2007 and closing on Friday 5th October 2007. Copies of all the documents published for consultation and the Councils’ Evidence Base are available on the County Council’s website http://www.wiltshire.gov.uk/environment-and-planning/planning-home.htm. The Issues Papers are also available for inspection at the Offices of the County, Borough and District Council as well as selected libraries in Wiltshire and Swindon.
