Wiltshire and Swindon WLP - Pre-printed version

This is a working version of the WLP, incorporating changes to the text agreed as Proposed Modifications in response to the Inspector’s Report and other, minor amendments.

The Proposed Modifications were approved by the Joint Strategic Planning Working Party and the Cabinets of the two Councils during July 2004 and were subject to public consultation during September and October. During December the Working Party and Cabinets considered objections made to the Proposed Modifications and resolved to make no further modifications to the Local Plan.

The formal decision to adopt this version of the Local Plan is due to be taken by Swindon Borough Council on 27th January and Wiltshire County Council on 8th February. The intention to adopt will then be advertised for 28 days by statutory notice. The planned adoption date is 16th March 2005. Adoption will then be advertised by statutory notice, with a 6 week period for any aggrieved person to make an objection to the High Court. If no objections are made the Adopted Local Plan will be finalised for printing in May.
