Using the internet can make the weekly shop a lot simpler, because you can buy your groceries and have them delivered to your door. This can make life a lot easier.
You don't need to rely on the limited range of food from the local shop, and if you live miles from the supermarket then it can save you time and even money - paying for delivery could work out cheaper than the bus fare.
All the big supermarkets let you shop online, and they will all deliver to you too. The services offered by supermarket websites vary in sophistication - some just give you the opportunity to find a store in your area and a contact email address while others allow you to select your goods, set up a shopping list, order the goods, set up a time and place for delivery and pay online.
