Sheltered and supported housing provides housing related support services which develop or maintain people's independence and is intended to allow more people to live independently in the community and to minimise tenancy breakdown and homelessness.
You will need to contact Support Providers from the list in the Supporting People Service Directory for information about their referral processes. You may need to complete an application form.
In sheltered and supported housing there is a rent charge, service charge and a support charge. Help with these charges is available if you are on a low income. Support Providers will be able to give advice if required.
All Support Providers will carry out a needs assessment before offering a place in supported housing. More information about this is available from Support Providers.
For Support Providers information please see the Supporting People Service Directory (pdf 4790Kb).
