Housing support for adults

Housing related support services aim to develop or maintain people’s independence and is intended to allow more people to live independently in the community and to minimise tenancy breakdown and homelessness. This support is available to a range of people, including:

  • People who have used drugs & alcohol
  • Offenders & Ex-Offenders
  • Older People
  • People with learning disabilities
  • People with mental health problems
  • People with physical or sensory disabilities
  • Homeless people – single people and families
  • Teenage parents
  • Adults at Risk of Domestic Violence
  • Young people at risk (Aged 16+)

You will need

You will need to contact Support Providers from the list in the Supporting People Service Directory for information about their referral processes. You may need to complete an application form.

Payments

Your rent is split into 3 chunks, a rent charge, service charge and a support charge. Help with these charges is available if you are on a low income. Support Providers will be able to give advice if required.

Eligibility

All Support Providers will carry out a needs assessment before offering a place in supported housing.
