Care Quality Commission (CQC) inspections provide an independent evaluation of a Council’s performance in delivering social care outcomes to its communities and its capacity to improve delivery in the future.
The purpose of an inspection is to promote local and national assurance about Council performance, accountability and service improvement.
In November/ December 2009 an inspection took place which looked at two areas of care that Wiltshire Council provides to its residents:
- safeguarding of vulnerable adults, and
- the provision of choice and control in services for older people with mental health needs.
