Free Leisure Centre Family Concession Membership
Foster Carers and their families are entitled to receive a free leisure centre family concession membership. This is a 'show and go' discount scheme that enables residents of Wiltshire to access their leisure centres at discounted prices. Within Wiltshire Council managed facilities it entitles the holder with up to 50% off casual usage and 25% off courses, at DC Leisure managed facilities you could receive discount on a range of facilities and activities, priority booking on courses and being able to book 7 days in advance for most facilities.
Family membership will cover 2 adults and those children within the family irrespective of whether they are foster children or not. Within the family membership each individual will receive a card which solves the problem of children entering the centre on their own. The only exemption is that the children must be below 18 years old. Short term and respite foster carers can ask at the time of applying for membership to have up to 3 children’s membership cards without a named individual which can be used by any foster children who join the foster home.
To apply for this card or for more information please contact your local leisure centre for an application form, proof of eligibility will be required, which is your Wiltshire Council Foster Carers ID Card confirming your status as a foster carer. There is no limit on the number of Leisure Centres you can access with your membership card although you will need to apply for separate membership to Wiltshire Council and DC Leisure managed sites.

Wiltshire Council Staff Benefits now available to foster carers
Foster carers can now benefit from Wiltshire Council employee staff benefits on presentation of their Foster Carers ID card (excluding the green car scheme; childcare scheme). Discounts have been negotiated on goods and services from both local and national suppliers including house and home; hair and beauty discounts; entertainment; eating out; family deals; finance; travel deals; health and fitness; shopping; computers; motoring.

City Hall Salisbury
City Hall has extended its offer to Wiltshire Council employees to include Wiltshire Council foster carers. This means that foster carers can take advantage of discounts on tickets for selected shows at City Hall and a reduced price for Backstage Membership. To find out which shows offer the discount, more about the backstage benefits and all other details including terms and conditions contact the tickets@wiltshire.gov.uk or call 01722 434434. To take advantage of the discount foster carers must present a form of identification (Foster Carers ID) at the time of purchase, or at time of payment and collection for tickets reserved over the phone.
