Elections in Wiltshire

Local elections and European Elections will be taking place on Thursday 4 June 2009. The Election will decide 98 councillors for the new unitary Wiltshire Council and 23 councillors for the Salisbury City Council. Over 340 polling stations will be open from 7am until 10pm.
The local election count will take place the following day, Friday 5 June 2009 and the results will be known later that day.
The European election count will take place on Sunday 7 June 2009. There will be no local result as the voting taking place in Wiltshire will be used to help determine a result for the whole of the South West region.
The Salisbury City election count will take place following the local election count on Friday 5 June and possibly the following day too.
