Wiltshire Map 1773

A printed map of Wiltshire by John Andrews and Andrew Dury 1773

Produced as a set of 18 sheets to cover the county, this is generally considered to be one of the finest examples of an 18^th century commercial map. Despite its small scale the amount of detail shown is impressive. The larger houses, and their gardens and parks, are a particular feature - deliberately so - as it was hoped that the named owners would be prompted to buy the set.

Scale 2 inches to 1 mile.
