The Internet
is a means to obtain valuable local, national and international sources of information.
The Library Service
does not deny legitimate access to information by any member of the public, but recognises that such a resource is potentially open to misuse and abuse.
The County Council
cannot be held responsible for the content of the Internet. The Library Service applies a filtering mechanism to control access to information on the Internet. However, these cannot entirely prevent access to material of a sexually explicit, controversial or offensive nature. The Conditions of Use sets out the terms under which members of the Library Service may use the Internet.
