The Read That Changed My Life
It’s the National Year of Reading, so we want you to tell us about the read that changed your life. See a selection of some of the books other people have chosen.
Of course, your 'Read' doesn’t have to be a book, but we’re looking for something that:
- Had a real impact on your life; or
- Helped you form the views and opinions you have now; or
- The thing you’ve read that you’ve never forgotten
We’re assuming the read that changed your life will be something you feel positive about, and it could be:
- A book that made you want to ‘be’ something – whether that’s a journalist, teacher, astronaut or nurse
- A text message telling you some happy family news – an engagement or new grandchild, perhaps
- Something you read in a newspaper or magazine
- A diet (no, maybe not), or a recipe (that’s more like it)
All you have to do is contact us and tell us, in 50 words, about the read that changed your life. If it’s a book, newspaper article, or magazine, include the author and title if you can! Remember to tell us how it changed your life, as well as your name, town, and age if you’re under 16.

We will publish a selection of entries on this website, as well as in future editions of the Wiltshire Magazine. We are also hoping local newspapers will want to publish some of your life changing reads.
