Libraries - fines
Summary of Service
Although it is free to join the library and borrow books charges are made where books are kept overdue after the 3 week loan period.
Payment
Charges for books kept overdue after the loan period of 3 weeks:
- adult books - 14p per day the library is open to a maximum of £6
- children's books and children's audio books - 2p per day the library is open to a maximum of £1
Please note : as from 2 Jan 2007, adult overdue charges will be 15p per day and children's overdue charges will be 3p per day the library is open.
No overdue charges apply to books borrowed from Mobile Libraries.
Charges include VAT at the present rate.
