Pewsey Sports Centre runs a number of activities for Young People (12 - 16 year olds) and Children (5 - 11 year olds). For the former age range, we recommend applying for a Validate UK Card as cardholders (who may be up to 19 years of age) will receive discounts on our pay-as-you-use facilities, from The Fitness Edge to swimming, from badminton to squash.
If you are between 12 - 17 inclusive, you can also receive discounts at Devizes, Marlborough and Tidworth Leisure Centres, Monday - Thursday before 6pm or anytime Friday, Saturday or Sunday. You can pick up further information and an application for a Validate UK Card at Pewsey Sport Centre’s reception, or call 01672 562469.
Young People’s Activities
In conjunction with The Shak Youth Centre, Pewsey Sports Centre provides a range of youth-orientated sports and activity programmes, complete with a fully equipped music studio. Current opportunities include:
1. Kayaking
We have 16 kayaks and offer 1, 2, 3 and 4-star Kayak Awards as well as Level 1, 2 and 3 Kayak Instructor Coaching Courses.
2. Teen Fit
£2.75 Wednesdays, 4-4.45pm & Sundays, 2-2.45pm
Learn how to use the gym safely and effectively and techniques that will let you get the most out of our cardiovascular and resistance machines. A fully qualified instructor will supervise the session to give advice and help you create the perfect work-out programme.
3. Trampolining
This fun course is designed to teach the basic shapes of gymnastics including the tuck, pike, straddle, seat drops and front / back drops.

On the site of Pewsey Sports Centre, The Shak Youth Centre also offers the following facilities:

- Games Area complete with X-Boxes

Children’s Activities - Weekdays
1. Swimming Lessons
10 week courses for all abilities and ages. Our experienced and ASA qualified coaches aim to teach children water confidence and skills, enabling them to swim with greater enjoyment. One to one swimming lessons are also available.
Children’s Activities - Weekends
1. Saturday Fun Club
£5.00 per 2 hour session, Saturdays 10 - 12pm.
Fun activities incorporating physical games, arts and crafts.
2. Family Fun / Fun Sessions
£2.85 per adult, £1.65 per child, Saturdays 10 - 10.55am; Sundays 3 x 55 minute sessions from 10.00am - 12.55pm.
These weekend sessions are ideal for all the family and include use of floats, woggles and inflatables.
3. Snorkel & Flipper Session
£2.85 per adult, £1.65 per child, Sundays 12 - 12.55pm.
Bring along your own snorkels and flippers for underwater fun in our pool.
4. Inflatable Fun Session
£2.85 per adult, £1.65 per child, Sundays 2 - 2.45pm.
Have fun climbing and bouncing on Woof and Splat, our giant inflatables!
Party Packages
Remember, many of our facilities can be hired out to provide great Party Packages. Whether it’s swimming or bouncy castles you’re after, one of our packages is bound to suit.
