Details of sports, leisure and physical activity opportunities for adults in Wiltshire

Sports development have worked with local clubs and England Basketball to develop a number of weekly opportunities for adults to play the sport in Wiltshire. Club sessions help people to play basketball at a high standard in a competitive environment while Ball Again sessions are open to those new, or returning to the sport or for those who wish to play in a less formal environment.
For more information about the adult basketball programme please contact sportsdevelopment@wiltshire.gov.uk or call 01225 770213.

You can sign up on the Just Play website or simply turn up at your chosen session.
The FA Mars Just Play programme gives the casual footballer aged 16 and over a chance to just turn up to a venue and play football. The Just Play kickabout is recreational football at its best – it’s about turning up for an hour of exercise and a bit of fun. It is football for those who can’t or don’t want to commit to an eight month season of matches and training. Just Play sessions are being delivered weekly at venues across Wiltshire. You can come on your own or with friends.
For more information about the Just Play Football programme please contact Wiltshire FA’s Football Development Officer Chloe Buller - chloe.buller@wiltshirefa.com or 01793 486047

Walking sports programme

Walking sports are traditional sports played at a slower, walking pace. This means they are accessible to older people, people who thought they could never play again due to injury, age or medical condition or people that have never played before but would like to start something social, fun and enjoyable.

We are working with the Wiltshire FA and local partners to deliver walking football sessions around the county so check this table for more details. This is predominantly aged at the 50 plus age group. Please contact named people for information on each session including cost.

We're delighted to see that there are now over 400 walking footballers registered in the county following a lot of hard work by the Wilts FA, volunteers and ourselves over the last 3 years.

For latest news, information and updates have a look at the Wiltshire Walking Football facebook page.
