Pilates was designed by Joseph Pilates in the 1920s which exercises both the body and the mind.  

Pilates works on deep postural muscles and requires concentration and precision. Pilates develops strong abdominal muscles, a healthy back and is excellent for posture.

Pilates Course Information

Beginners - Starter course for those who have not attended a Pilates Course before

Beginners Advanced - Suitable for those who have attended a Pilates course previously

Advanced - A progressive class for those who have completed the previous two courses. You may need to speak to the instructor to assess suitability

Pilates on the Ball - Suitable for beginners or those with some Pilates experience

Combination Pilates - Traditional matwork Pilates introducing further challenges by using equipment such as the Swiss Ball and Resistance Bands

Mixed Ability - A class for those who have completed a beginners course and are looking to progress further

Booking your class

These classes are very popular so to avoid disappointment please book in advance. You will need a leisure card, these cost £10 per adult for one year’s membership. The card also provides discounts on many other activities including classes and the gym.
