Alternative sport
Wiltshire Council has established via extensive consultation of young people that there is a real demand from young people in the County for alternative and adventure sports.
To meet this demand Wiltshire has established an Alternative Sport project, employing a full time coordinator to develop new opportunities, advise on new developments and help sustain local projects.
Wiltshire Alternative Youth Sports (WAYS) is the steering group for this project, comprising representatives from across Wiltshire with an interest in young people’s activity provision and sports development. WAYS works across the County to support young people interested in developing opportunities locally for alternative sports enthusiasts and those new to alternative sports.
