Quick Reads

Quick Reads provide fast-paced, bite-sized books by bestselling writers for people who want to improve their reading, anyone who has lost the reading habit or simply wants a short, fast read.

New titles for 2015:

  • Red for revenge by Fanny Blake
  • Street cat Bob by James Bowman
  • Dead man talking by Roddy Doyle
  • Out of the dark by Adele Geras
  • Pictures or it didn’t happen by Sophie Hannah
  • Paris for one by JoJo Moyes

Quick Reads titles are available in all libraries. A full range of Quick Reads in stock can be found on our library catalogue.

There are also Quick Reads titles which can be borrowed as a book and CD set.

Our Skills for All collections in libraries offer a range of books, similar to Quick Reads, which we think are easy to pick up.  These come from our regular book shelves, but we’ve put them together in one place for you.

To give you an idea of what’s available – from Adrian Mole to Bridget Jones, from books about Beckham to cooking with Jamie Oliver – you can try the Find a Read website.
