People of all ages looking for the next step in their careers or training can attend a special event at Calne Hub and Library next week.

The Calne Skills Market Place on Tuesday 12 November will have employers and training providers available to offer advice and support. For those looking for apprenticeships there will be the opportunity to view available positions that are currently live.

Wiltshire Council's Employment and Skills Service is hosting the event supported by the Community Engagement team. The event starts at 4pm until 6pm and is open to all.

Local learning and support services such as Wiltshire Family and Community Learning and Wiltshire College will be available to enable those looking to gain employment or those looking for a career change to access the right support and training.

Other providers including Greatwood will also be present.

The event will be followed by the Calne Area Board from 6pm to 7:30pm.

Cllr Pauline Church, Cabinet Member for Children, Education and Skills said: "This is a great opportunity to discuss future options face-to-face with the experts. If you want to learn new skills or take the next step on the career ladder you can drop in and chat it through."
